Ancient Ruins Overview

Palworld 1.0 has 114 ancient ruins scattered across the map. This guide covers 70 ruins that drop practical blueprints, ranging from early-game weapons and gear to endgame accessories and material farming routes. The ones left out mostly drop generic weapons, Wancoins, or elemental resistance rings—lower value overall.

Ruin Categories

The 70 ruins are sorted into nine categories by drop type:

Night Star Sand

  • Can be picked by memory during the day
  • Also obtained by catching or butchering Zuoyexing or Riyaoju
  • Mass production: breeding + Vegetable Cake + Laughing Cat + butchering conveyor

Dark Shards

  • Dropped by certain island pals: Tianyin Tongzi, Mianju, Youlianna (nighttime only)

Ancient Beast Bone Location

The Ancient Beast Bone is in the <strong>third Wildlife Sanctuary</strong>. The 1.0 update added many gear blueprints, and this one is notoriously hard to find—you can search the entire World Tree area without luck. Ancient Bark is in the first sanctuary, Ancient Lava Chunks in the second; each material maps to one sanctuary.

<strong>Tip:</strong> The Ancient Beast Bone is easy to miss on the ground, but the bone itself glows. Look for the glow and you won't overlook it.
